Education and Experience

Dr. Coven received his undergraduate degree from Bucknell University where he was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa, and graduated from Jefferson Medical College, located in Philadelphia, PA. He completed his Internship at Lenox Hill Hospital, followed by a 2 year NIH sponsored Dermatology Research Fellowship at Rockefeller University in New York City. He completed his Dermatology Residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital – Cornell Medical Center in New York City.
Dr. Coven was trained in Mohs Surgery by an American College of Mohs Surgery sponsored Fellowship under Dr. Deborah Sarnoff, affiliated with New York University School of Medicine. Further honing his expertise, Dr. Coven trained in Mohs Surgery under Dr. Deborah Sarnoff (NYU School of Medicine) through an American College of Mohs Surgery Fellowship. With over 25 years experience, Dr. Coven has successfully completed over 60,000 Mohs surgeries.
